We want to extend a huge thank you to Foluwaso Omole for her outstanding work during her internship with Amber’s Legacy! 🙌 Despite early hurdles and time constraints, she did an amazing job collecting and analysing data through focus groups and questionnaires. The insights gained from this research will be invaluable in shaping our next steps in raising awareness about cervical screening among young adults.

🔍 Project Aims:

Amber's Legacy is dedicated to ensuring that young adults are informed, empowered, and proactive about their health—particularly when it comes to cervical screening. This internship focused on understanding how best to educate 18-25-year-olds on the importance of screening and developing a strategic outreach plan to effectively spread awareness.

✨ Internship Contributions:

✔ Conducted research into awareness levels, attitudes, and barriers surrounding cervical screening.

✔ Identified and analysed effective public health education strategies.

✔ Explored digital and traditional outreach platforms (social media, websites, community events).

✔ Began developing a detailed dissemination plan for educational materials.

The focus group research provided crucial insights into the attitudes, barriers, and educational needs related to cervical screening. By tackling misconceptions, improving access to accurate information, and leveraging trusted communication channels, Amber’s Legacy can make a real impact in increasing screening participation and reducing cervical cancer rates.

The data collected will be compiled into a report that will serve as the foundation for our future targeted awareness campaigns and strategic initiatives—ensuring that cervical screening becomes a normalized, understood, and prioritized health practice among young adults.
